This is what the salt plantations in Vietnam look like. First, the sea water is poured onto specially designated pieces of land. I have no idea how long it takes for the water to evaporate, but with such a heat in Vietnam, it shouldnt take a lot of time. Then the workers are brought there for a long working day. In the beginning, the salt is raked into piles (mostly men do it), then it is loaded into wheelbarrows and transported to a large pile near the road (this is womens job). Then, the salt is transported to a plant for treatment.
