SERGIO RAMOS PROFILE

Sergio Ramos Garca born 30 March 1986 is a Spanish footballer who plays for Real Madrid and Spain.

Mainly a right back, he can perform equally as a central defender. After emerging through Sevilla FC's youth system, he went on to be a defensive mainstay for both Real Madrid and the Spanish national team, gaining his first cap at the age of 18.

Club career

Sevilla
Born in in Camas, Seville, Andalusia, Ramos began his career at local side Sevilla FC, emerging through the club's youth system alongside Jess Navas and Antonio Puerta. He made his first team - and La Liga - debut on 1 February 2004, coming on as a second half substitute in a 01 loss at Deportivo de La Corua.

In the 200405 season, Ramos appeared in 31 games as Sevilla finished sixth and qualified to the UEFA Cup, netting in home fixtures against Real Sociedad (21) and Real Madrid (22).

Real Madrid
In the summer of 2005, 19-year old Ramos was purchased by Real Madrid for 27 million, a record for a Spanish teenager. He was the only Spanish player brought in during Florentino Prez first stint as Real Madrid president.

At the club, Ramos was awarded the number 4 shirt, previously worn by team captain Fernando Hierro. On 6 December 2005, he scored his first goal for the Merengues, in a 23 UEFA Champions League group stage loss at Olympiacos FC.

During his first seasons, Ramos played as centre-back, being also used as an emergency defensive midfielder on occasion. However, with the arrival of Christoph Metzelder and Pepe in the 200708 season, he was again relocated to right back, whilst displaying a goal-scoring instinct unusual to many defenders, netting more than 20 overall goals in Real Madrid's shirt during his first four seasons combined.
Ramos celebrates with his teammates.

On 4 May 2008, Ramos assisted Gonzalo Higuan in the 89th minute against CA Osasuna in an eventual 21 away win, the match that sealed Real Madrid's 31st league championship. On the final day of the season, he scored twice in a 52 home win against already relegated Levante UD, one through a header and another after an individual effort, taking his league tally to five.

In the start of the following season, Ramos scored a vital goal in the Spanish Supercup contest against Valencia CF, making it 21 to and 44 on aggregate, in an eventual 42 win (65), despite the fact Real Madrid playing with only nine men for a long period of time. Although he experienced a slight dip in form, he returned to his best and on 11 January 2009, scored on an acrobatic volley against RCD Mallorca (30 away triumph), continuing his scoring run in the following week, in a 31 home win against Osasuna.

Ramos was named in both FIFA and UEFA's 2008 Team of the Year, adding the FIFPro Team of the Year 200708 accolade. He also finished 21st in the European Player of the Year nomination for 2008.

Just at the start of the 200910 season, Ramos was appointed as one of Real Madrid's four captains of Real Madrid. As Pepe suffered a serious knee injury during the campaign, he was often deployed as central defender, and scored four goals in 33 league contests, but the team eventually came out empty in silverware. On 21 February 2010, he played his 200th official match for the capital team against Villarreal CF (150 in the first division).

In Real Madrid's 0-5 loss to FC Barcelona on 29 November 2010, Ramos was sent off after kicking Lionel Messi from behind, then pushing Carles Puyol in the ensuing mele.[3] After this ejection, he equaled Fernando Hierro's previous record for red cards at the club, having played in 264 fewer games.

International career

In 2004, Ramos became an instant hit for Spain's under-21, for whom he played six international matches. On 26 March 2005, in a 30 friendly win over China, in Salamanca, he first appeared for the senior side at only 18 years, 11 months and 361 days of age, making him the youngest player to play for the national team in the last 55 years (he held this record until it was broken by Arsenal's Cesc Fbregas).

Just seven months later, Ramos scored his first two international goals in a 60 away thrashing of San Marino for the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualifiers. He was selected for the final stages in Germany and, after the international retirement of Real Madrid teammate Mchel Salgado, became the undisputed first-choice right-back.

Throughout Spain's UEFA Euro 2008 qualifying campaign, Ramos was a regular member of the starting eleven as the national side finished first in its group, above Sweden. He scored two goals, including one in a 31 away win over Denmark, in 11 appearances.

In the tournament's final stages, Ramos played in all matches and minutes, except the 21 group stage win against Greece. In the final, his pass nearly set up Marcos Senna's first international goal, but the latter barely missed it by inches. During the celebrations after the 10 defeat of Germany, Ramos wore a T-shirt in honor of close friend and former Sevilla teammate Puerta, who died in August 2007.

Ramos was selected in the squad for the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup in South Africa, as Spain finished in third position. At the 2010 World Cup, held in the same country, he started every game, helping the team keep five clean sheets and reach the final, a 10 win against Holland. He topped the tournament's Castrol Performance Index with a score of 9.79

Bachelor...South Africa

Ok...kind of jealous of all the Safari business.

Chantal just continues to bother me. Her date was cool, because I think it would be awesome to see all those animals. Honestly though, wouldn't have wanted to be outside all night. I think it was kind of cool, but would have been cold and probably had a lot of bugs...what about all of those mosquito nets you see that they show in Africa? Maybe Chantal will get a disease. :)

BUT...Emily's was way better. That's one of my like top 5 things I want to do in my life. (well top five fun things...I want to ride an elephant) Also, how cute was her little outfit with the boots and everything? Loved her outfit at dinner too. And I think she got the better night option too. I know she's not going to win because they keep making it look like she will. They always do that.

I just don't like Ashley either. I liked so many girls other girls more at the beginning of the show. Ashley wasn't even dressed up for Africa...lame. And flip flops...not a good idea. Still think Emily had the best date. Ashley and Brad had the most awkward night date ever. What do you think of the mosquito nets? hmmm...lol. When he pulled her aside to talk to her before the rose ceremony to talk about their bad date, it just had to make her stomach drop, so I actually felt kind of bad for her. I guess it was kind of better for him to do it that way instead of making her go through the ceremony. I thought the way she acted was a little surprising, when he tried to say goodbye, but I can understand why she would feel that way. I probably wouldn't want to touch him either. But I guess that's what you get when you go on the show. I thought she held herself together well and was glad to hear her say she was going to look for the good in the situation. I'm glad she's gone, but that means that Chantal is going to win.

Also once again...did not love anybody's dress choice for the rose ceremony...come on girls...

UMM..Michelle's back next week for the Women Tell All...woo hoo!!! DRAMA!!!

Quotes From this Week:

"I want what's best for him...and it's me damn it." - Chantal

"I'm not someone who just goes and gets engaged to people." - Chantal

"Let's just get married here. Screw getting engaged" - Chantal

"What if that happened?" - Brad

"Brad left me alone in the wild and I was just confused...It's possible that a lion could come eat me."-Emily

"This is like the Lion King, but better" - Emily

"I'm not doing so well at dinner here. I'm really not." - Brad (about dinner with Ashley)

"I'm not looking for four years, I'm not looking for fifteen years. I'm looking for my whole life." - Brad

"You let me eat a worm!" - Chantal

I really like Emily as an actress. I'm actually very interested to see her in the new movie, "The Adjustment Bureau" with Matt Damon coming out this weekend. I think she's very pretty too. I love her eyes. She was hilarious as the assistant in "The Devil Wears Prada", but since then she's played more series and substantial roles.

Personal life

May-Treanor is the daughter of Bob "Butch" May, a member of the 1968 US volleyball team and prominent beach volleyball player, and Barbara May, a nationally-ranked tennis player who later transitioned to beach volleyball. Barbara died of cancer in 2002. A prominent tattoo on Misty's shoulder, an angel with the initials "B.M.", is a reminder of her mother. She has a tattoo of a flower on her right wrist. She also has a tattoo of a Roman numeral five on her lower back, five being her favorite number. After NBA star Jason Kidd was spotted in the stands at the Olympics supporting the US beach volleyball players, it was alleged that the number five tattoo is a tribute to Kidd, since he wears number 5. Misty wore the number five through much of her volleyball career, though, and says she and Kidd have only met once. She has reported that she has her grandmother's initials on her arm as a tribute to her.

She has two brothers, Brack and Scott, and her first cousin is tennis player Taylor Dent.

In January 2004, she began dating baseball player Matt Treanor and the two were engaged in March 2004.They wed in November 2004. They have two dogs, boxers named Gruden and Boogie. May-Treanor has publicly stated that she intends to start a family, but the prospect of her return is unclear.May-Treanor shares a third tattoo with her husband that is of an M-squared. May-Treanor is listed as currently residing in Coral Springs, Florida though she and her husband also own a home in Long Beach, California

Anne Hathaway's Many Outfits

Anne Hathaway must have been pretty busy last night running around changing her outfit, but I'm fairly jealous, because her dresses were gorgeous. I did not like the dress she showed up on the red carpet in that much though. It was ok, and the color looked good on her, but I didn't think her hair looked that great. And she called it "vintage"...it was from 2002...really? Since when is 2002 vintage? I liked the back of it. I've just seen her wear better. Like all the other ones she wore last night...or the one she wore to the Golden Globes this year...anyway, here's all her pretty dresses...and her tux...really I just posted that one because I loved the shoes :)
