Jessica Alba was born in in Pomona, California, on April 28, 1981 is an Hollywood and American television actress that comes from a diverse background. Her father is Mexican-American and her mother has Danish and French roots. When she was an infant, Jessica Alba and her family moved to Biloxi, Mississippi because her father is a member of the U.S. Air Force, she moved around a lot.
Alba is considered a sex symbol and often generates media attention for her looks. In 2006, she was voted number one on AskMen.com�s list of �99 Most Desirable Women� and appears frequently on the �Hot 100? section of Maxim, as well as �Sexiest Woman in the World� by FHM in 2007. She has also won various awards for her acting, including the Choice Actress Teen Choice Award and Saturn Award for Best Actress on Television, and a Golden Globe nomination for her lead role in the television series Dark Angel.
Jessica Alba began her studying acting in her early teens and had an agent by the age of 12. Netting her first film role, she appeared in the 1994 comedy Camp Nowhere and The Secret World of Alex Mack. In 1996, she appeared in Venus Rising (1995) as �Young Eve�. The next year, she appeared on the �The Dini Petty Show� (1989), a Canadian talk show, and spoke about her role in �Flipper� (1995) and her general acting career. She began working on P.U.N.K.S. (1999), featuring Randy Quaid, in 1998. In early 1998, she appeared in �Brooklyn South� (1997) as �Melissa�. That same year, she was in two episodes of �Beverly Hills, 90210? (1990) as �Leanne� and in two episodes of �Love Boat: The Next Wave� (1998). She appeared in �Teen Magazine� in 1995 and various European magazines in the following several years. More importantly, she was featured in the February 1999 issue of �Vanity Fair�

After a string of guest appearances, Alba was given the leading role in the science fiction series Dark Angel. The show was created by director James Cameron and premiered in the fall of 2000. She played Max Guevera, a genetically modified young woman who worked as a bike messenger. She had escaped from a genetics research project that used children as test subjects.

She made a comeback in 2003 with the title role in Honey. In 2005 Jessica Alba appeared opposite Bruce Willis in the movie �Sin City�, the down-and-dirty feature-film version of Frank Miller�s popular graphic novels. Alba played Nancy, a stripper with a tortured past who�s about as close to innocence as it gets in a grisly black-and-white world.

Alba brought a comic book heroine to life in Fantastic Four (2005). She played Sue Storm, one of four astronauts who gained unusual powers after being exposed to cosmic rays. Alba�s character was able to make herself invisible as well as to create invisible protective force fields. Reprising her role, she also appeared in the 2007 sequel, 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer.

Continuing to branch out, Alba starred in The Eye (2008), a remake of a Japanese horror film. She played a musician who received an eye transplant, which produces some unexpected and unwanted side effects. Returning to comedy, Alba also has a part in the Mike Myers film The Love Guru (2008).

Alba�s most notable film roles have included an aspiring dancer-choreographer in Honey, exotic dancer Nancy Callahan in Sin City, and as the Marvel Comics character Sue Storm, the Invisible Woman in Fantastic Four. She then appeared in its sequel, in Into the Blue later that year, and Good Luck Chuck a few years later. Alba went on to host the 2006 MTV Movie Awards and performed sketches spoofing the movies King Kong, Mission: Impossible 3, and The Da Vinci Code. In February, she hosted the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences� Science and Technical Awards. Alba has been represented by talent agents Patrick Whitesell and Brad Cafarelli.

In May 2008, Alba married longtime boyfriend Cash Warren, whom she met on the set of the The Fantastic Four. Alba gave birth to a baby girl, Honor Marie Warren, on June 7, 2008 in Los Angeles.
