THE COMPANY
The Company (TNT Sunday at 8) is not a bad way to spend two hours watching television. However, this show is not a history lesson, and six hours of it (3 episodes of two hours each) may be a bit much.
It's an interesting, sometimes exciting, but kind of one dimensional dramatization of CIA operatives at work during several important events. During the episode I watched (#2) the CIA botched their support of the Hungarian Revolution of 1956, and the Bay of Pigs assault on Cuba in 1961, resulting in many deaths and no progress for democracy anywhere in the world.
To understand the history, I'd suggest consulting Wikipedia (for example, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hungarian_Revolution_of_1956) and Google. It's much clearer and more informative than the TV show.
